| 《飘》是美国的一部场面宏大的描写南北战争的经典小说，卫希礼是这部名著中的主人公之一，他温文尔雅，多愁善感，具有“诗人”的特质，通过比较我们不难看到，卫希礼和中国遗民有着极为相似的地方：生不逢时的悲剧命运；誓死守卫家园的忠贞品质；永远生活在旧梦中的生存状态。所不同的是，由于中西方文化背景、道德评价体系不同，美国的卫希礼被塑造成了虽然温柔敏感，但是懦弱无能的形象，而中国的遗民，无一不是道德高尚、不食人间烟火的“硬汉”。 |

| Gone with the Wind is a classic work in American literature, which was created to reflect American Civil War. Ashley Wilkes, one of the leading characters in this work, is gentle, cultivated and sentimental, who possesses the characteristics of a poet. Judging from his character, Ashley Wilkes shares a lot with some Chinese adherent to the old dynasty in some respects. They not favored by the chances. They pledge to fight to the death in defending their homeland. They always live in the dream of past. However, because of the cultural difference between East and West, Ashley Wilkes is shaped to be gentle and sentimental but weak and useless, while Chinese adherents to the past are all steel-willed men of high morality. |
