| In recent years, “poisonous milk”, “little milky dog”, “milky voice” and other words related to “milk” are frequently used on the Internet, and “milk” in these words has developed new meanings such as “adding blood”, “predicting” and “being cute”. From the diachronic point of view, this paper discusses the evolvement of the ancient and modern meaning of “milk”, as well as the new meanings of “adding blood”, “predicting” and “being cute”, and analyzes the generation mechanism from the aspects of metaphor, the principle of association and the law of the development of language subjectivity. |
