| The Liberator and Mr. DongYe are Xu Di-shan's novels in his later stage. The two novels are mysterious with dramatic plots, unique characters and dense religious color. Xu Di-shan pays attention to the familiar characters, subjects and themes in the real life at the same time and focuses on the spirit world of the common people. Xu Di-shan's novels are comprehensive and romantic by surpassing time and space. In fact, Xu Di-shan's novels are realistic under the romantic color. It is a portrayal of his inflexible pursuit of life. |
