| There are many old morphemes in Modern Chinese. But its’ meaning became unfamiliar because of the interaction between morpheme meanings，the change of lexical meanings，the retaining of archaisms and so on. Starting from examples of ancient and modern Chinese，this paper not only analyses the features and types of ancient morpheme，but also discusses the reasons of unfamiliarity. |
