| A Dream of Red Mansions is the peak of Chinese classical literature, and various translators spend time in rendering it into another language.Thus, a variety of translated versions came into being, among which the most are English versions.In the novel, most of characters’ names are of pun meanings, creating difficulties for translation.Yang xianyi couple’s translation, as one of the most popular versions.has its own characteristics when dealing with characters’ names, which is worth exploring. |
