This paper uses Cite Space to visually analyze the research literature on early childhood care and education in the WOS core
database in the 21st century. It mainly explores the main overview,the hot topics and frontier evolution of abroad early childhood care
and education research. The results show that the United States,Australia and England are influential in the field of early childhood education
research. The research focuses on the definition about the quality of early childhood care and education and the development of
assessment tools; the relationship between the quality of early childhood care and education and children’s school readiness; and the
professional development of early education teachers.The research frontier has gradually shifted from the overview of the quality of early
childhood care and education at the macro level to the improvement of the quality of early childhood care and education at the micro level.
Future research should focus on constructing the quality system of early childhood education jointly by multiple stakeholders; the improvement
and development function of early childhood education quality assessment; the threshold limit value of children's the quality
of early childhood care and education affecting children's school readiness; pre-service education and post-service training focusing on
improving the quality of teacher-child interaction. |
