Critical thinking is one of the basic features of creativity. This paper has analyzed K Literature Standards of K-12 Common Core State Standards and the critical thinking skills and strategies covered in 30 K-leveled Houghton Mifflin's books. All the analyses prove that Americans have started their critical thinking education among early kindergarten children by cultivating their critical thinking habits through reading and questioning. Recognizing and studying this new tendency emerging in American pre-school education is believed to be of great significance to develop our pre-school education and talent cultivation in China.
