Children’s right to play are of great significance in giving children happy childhood, promoting their healthy mental development, cultivating their spirit of exploration, and helping them build perfect personality, which promotes the transmission of freedom, equality, initiative, and fraternity, complementing and improving the social culture. This paper discusses children’s right to play from three aspects, including their right to protect plays, participate in play and the right to design plays, and probes into the strategic educational value of children’s right and the predicament of it. In general its predicaments lie in time, space, concept and modern media dislocation and so on. Based on this, the paper provides countermeasures and suggestions for the five main bodies—legislature, government, kindergarten, teachers and family to protect children’s right to play practically. |
