| Hou Wailu’s research on Chinese ideological history is based on the Marxist historical materialism. Keeping pace with the times，it combines the fine virtues of traditional Chinese culture，and approaches the similarity and difference of Chinese and Western culture deeply and profoundly. Through constant thinking and rigorous study，Hou Wailu proposes lots of thought-provoking questions and starts a new school of the study on history，and becomes an example for researches on Chinese ideological history. |
