| Generated in the Early Neolithic thousands of years ago, pottery was a kind of traditional practical utensils in China. Through the practice and heritage over thousands of years, the manufacturing technology of pottery had been updated continually and became comprehensive mature before the Western Zhou Dynasty. In this field, there were many different kilns and abundant products including many different types of utensils about grain storage, drawing water, storing water and cooking food, etc. Speaking of grain storage, pottery had played an irreplaceable role as a link chain in the run of ancient planting economy. Being an indispensable part of the Pre-Qin agricultural civilization and China agricultural heritage, pottery has important conservation value. |
