| Abstract: Based on Piaget’s spatial cognitive development theory and visual grammar theory, taking classic children’s picture books as examples, the author describes the expression of spatial metaphor in picture books. It also discusses the significance of spatial metaphor images to child readers. At the same time, the author applies spatial metaphor to teaching design, aiming to promoting the development of children’s spatial cognitive ability and abstract concepts. |
