| 以Lakoff和Johnson的隐喻理论为基础，对英汉语的情感隐喻进行对比分析，着重探讨英汉语在“喜、怒、哀、惧”的概念隐喻表达上的异同，并从认知和文化角度分析其形成原因。研究表明英汉语中共通的概念隐喻都源于身体体验，而英汉概念隐喻存在的差异性，主要是由于文化根源的差异性造成的，并从地理位置、文化价值、哲学观和医学观等方面对这些差异作出了阐释，提出促进跨文化隐喻理解的途径。 |

| Based on Lakoff and Johnson’s theories on conceptual metaphor,this paper makes a contrastive study of some major emotional metaphors in English and Chinese to find out the similarities and differences between the conceptual metaphors in the two languages and explores the causes of the similarities and differences from the cognitive as well as the cultural perspectives.The research discovers that English and Chinese share some similar conceptual metaphors.The similarities reflect the fact that conceptual metaphors are primarily rooted in common human bodily experience both in English and Chinese.Meanwhile,there also exist great differences which are largely due to cultural relativity.Thus,this paper tries to account for these differences by referring to the differences in geographical locations,cultural value,philosophical and medical theories,in order to find out the ways of promoting the understanding of cross-cultural metaphor. |
