| 东晋南朝的吴歌大多描写青年男女的感情生活，其中既有男女相恋的欢喜娇嗔之作，也有女子暗恋男子的相思切切，而表现尤多的是女子失恋后的哀伤。东晋南朝时期的吴歌创作具有明显的吴地地域性特色，集中表现江南边地的意象密集。此外，一部分吴歌的创作明显受到了前代文学的影响。吴歌的产生既是社会风气自发影响的产物，也是魏晋南北朝时期政治分野所带来的必然结果。 |

| The Wu Ballads are the folkloric songs and ballads popularized in the Wu-dialect areas .It is the indispensable one in the development of the Wu Ballads，especially in The Eastern Jin Dynasty and The Southern Dynasties. The Wu Ballads in this period compete the transformation of oral writing to collectivized and aristocratic writing. The Wu Ballads in this period described the love between young people，among whom are happy stories and love stories. The Wu Ballads in this period possess the characteristic of the poet in The Eastern Jin Dynasty. It has more images of The Southern Dynasties. |
