| 郑燮是历史上著名的清官，在家庭教育方面也有其独特的见解。在郑燮看来，孩子的学习成功与否，既取决于老师，也取决于家庭成员的影响。家长爱孩子是必要的，但必须注意理智地对待孩子，特别要把做“好人”作为家庭教育的首要任务。同时，在教育方法方面，要注意根据孩子的成长特点，解除对孩子的束缚，培养孩子的独立精神。 |

| Zheng Xie, a famous honest and upright official in Chinese history, also has his unique views on family education. In his opinion, a child’s performance in study not only depends on his teacher, but also is greatly influenced by his family members. He didn’t deny the necessity of parents’ love but proposed that parents should treat children rationally and the most important task of family education is to train its children to be “good”. According to him, taking children’s personalities into consideration, parents can allow the free development of children, and try to cultivate them into independent individuals. |
